Spring 2023 Interbay Baseball

Spring Season Registration for Interbay Little League programs.
Placing a youth baseball player in an appropriate division is determined by several factors, including the child’s league age as well as level of experience. The following information is intended as a guide to help you understand which division may be most appropriate for your child. At Interbay Little League, all players will be assigned a division after the Safety and Skill Assessment Days that lead up to the start of the season. Once players are assigned a division, coaches will then draft their teams based on enrollment numbers.

Minor C, Ages 6 & 7: Also known as coach pitch, this is recommended for baseball players who are either 6 or 7 years old and have played at least one season of tee ball.

Minor B, Ages 7 & 8: This is a kid pitch/coach pitch division that is recommended for 7 and 8 year old's. Experienced players who are 6 years old may also be considered.

Minor A, Ages 9 & 10: This is a competitive, full kid pitch division that is recommended for 9 and 10 year old's. The Minor A division may also be appropriate for 11 year old players who have no previous baseball experience.

Majors, Ages 10 - 12: This is a competitive, full kid pitch division that is open to players between the ages of 9 and 12.

Intermediate, Ages 12-13: Also commonly referred to as 5070, this is a competitive division that is open to players between the ages of 12 and 13. In this division, games are are played with a pitching distance of 50 feet (rather than 46 feet in Majors and below) and base paths of 70 feet (rather than 60 feet in Majors and below). This division is used to help prepare players to make the jump to the 60 foot pitching distance and 90 foot base paths experienced in Juniors and above. Most players should have at least one season of experience at the Majors level prior to playing in this division.

Juniors/Seniors, Ages 13 -16: This competitive division is primarily for age 13/14 in Juniors and 15/16 in Seniors. It's common in the higher aged divisions for Interbay Little League to run a combination league with other Little Leagues such as Bayshore LL, Palma Ceia LL and Tampa Bay LL. For those outside of Interbay boundaries, please consult with your local league President to confirm participation in a Junior or Senior level combination team before enrolling into our program. For specific questions in this division contact President Shannon Dixie at [email protected]

Residency documentation is required for  spring season.

Registering a player for a specific division does not guarantee they will be placed in that division. Division placement will be determined by the league.
